Aaron CP4
On Friday I met with Quyen after her class. She enjoys walking around campus instead of sitting inside. I asked her about her day and she told me she had a writing test earlier and that it was easy. She told me that some days she has difficulties speaking and today was one of those days. She asked me if I wanted to get donuts with her, but unfortunately I had to decline because of plans I had made. We then talked about food and deserts. I told her that my favorite desert was baklava. She asked what is was and I tried to explain it to her, but i don't think I did a good job. She told me her teachers told her to stay safe this weekend and she was kind of confused about this. I am not sure how crazy people get on memorial day, but I told her it shouldn't be anything near St. Patricks day. She told me a story about how she was out on St. Patricks day, and how wild people were. I told her this isn't so typical and where I'm from you wouldn't really notice the difference from any other day. After walking we sat on a bench outside the CIES building. I few students passed us where bathing suits and she asked me if this dress was acceptable. I told her it can be giving the circumstances. The students were playing in the fountain. I asked her if she had a boyfriend or a boy she like back home and she said no. She explained that she is shy and has difficult time talking to boys she likes. When we were done I told her next week we would go and get something to eat or do something she wants to do.
