Allison CP - 4

I am counting the Lofty Pursuits venture with Joyce as a separate CP session since I spoke with her more than XinWen I think at the ice cream store. Plus, I had taken XinWen to Books A Million for that adventure separately before it was ice cream time.

LOFTY PURSUITS PART DOS (Joyce edition): Joyce also got a sundae. Pretty much everyone got a sundae other than me, but everyone looked just as happy as the...creatures in the above image hahaha. We briefly discussed the Chinese picture dictionary that XinWen just bought and we looked up different words for various alcohols and which ones were our favorites. Most of our chatter centered around getting to know her room mate, Fay, who is 28 and from Taiwan like Joyce is. I invited Joyce to ride home with me this weekend after reading on Ted's blog post that she was looking to do some "serious road tripping". She asked if Fay could come along too and so she shall! We discussed how excited she is to go experience this little town and how she has never heard of it. This doesn't surprise me as very few people ever know where I'm from. We also chatted about the possibility of visiting an aquarium in Tampa to split up the long, tedious drive down to Punta Gorda (which we did indeed decide to do!) We also talked about stopping in Gainesville at this one shop to get boba tea. I asked her if she had ever heard of it before. When she said yes, I was somewhat surprised because I figured it was just an Asian American fad.

We took our turns playing with this hamster sized ball shaped puzzle which was quite frustrating and confusing. I acted like a school girl running around with a magnifying glass to my eye and playing with various toys and pointing them out to both Joyce and XinWen. I was sad to have to leave the gang to go to work, but it was still a great time had by all I think!
