Olumayowa TP-11

On Sunday night Aadl and I went to Starbucks. I felt like we should meet but didn't know what would interest him since it was during his vacation and he might not want to study at all. We started talking and got on the subject of what we'd be doing on the 4th of July, so I had an idea, mooch off someone else's lesson plan! I remember that Aadl wasn't at Kelly Karst's culture class on the 4th of July but he is really fascinated with the holiday since he keeps on asking me what I'll be doing on that day and what other things one can do on independence day. Last year he was at the Tom Brown park fireworks show and wasn't impressed, probably because firework shows in Saudi Arabia are a lot more extravagant. He did like the idea of going to a BBQ with me and firing them off by himself, 4th of July isn't the same without a blown off finger! I fished out Kelly's printed off lyrics for the star spangled banner from my backpack and we read them together, which was pretty confusing without the tune because of  words like "Oh" or "O'er". After like 10 minutes of buffering, I finally got my phone to play the clip of Whitney Houston singing the national anthem while we read the lyrics, then we played the song again while trying to sing along. Needless to say, everyone was staring at us.

Here's the whitney video. Her singing makes me want to cry, almost : D
