On Tuesday, 6/12/12, right after the group pictures around Wescott Fountain, Rose told me that she would be treating me and Kelly to lunch for being such great conversation/tutoring partners. Butsawan came with us.
A lot of our talk was deciding where to eat, finding out where would be a quick place and which places were slower than molasses. This felt like a genuine hangout - trying to figure out where to eat, catching up on little details about each other, complaining about the oppressive humidity and heat. Butsawan apparently had not gotten enough sleep as she was working on projects for her grad school as well as CIES.
We walked to the union, only to decide that going to the vegetarian Indian food place in the International Building was better. It was less crowded and quick. Good place. I hadn't been there in so long. Man, I need to go again.
On the way back to the CIES building, Rose asked if it was okay to walk on the grass like over Landis Green. She wanted to a couple of times to avoid being late but she'd always see people keep to sidewalks and was terrified of breaking the rules. I assured it was all right for most places, as we crossed a field. Haha.
It was a nice little lunch and now I want some Indian food. It was very sweet to treat us to lunch.
Didn't know they still had this. I might have to hit it up before I head out of town. We should all have a get together with Ramin and reminisce a bit.
