Ted Hong - CP6

On Saturday, I went to get some ingredients for my epic snack time with Joyce, Faye, and my friend Jia. I went and picked Joyce and her roommate as they wearily introduce each other with my friend Jia. Originally, he was going to play a trick in pretending that he couldn't speak or understand Mandarin, which I half-heartedly supported in hopes of having a strictly spoken English conversation. Rather, my friend just wanted to play at being a little spy.

In our conversation, I learned that Faye is going to Taiwan (actually... she's there now) for an internship. I wasn't quite sure in the translation but I'm lead to believe it's a museum curator... position? She was in the middle of packing but came out with us for a breather.

We went to Lynn's Oriental Market and we walked around the store looking for a couple of things. Joyce got some cabbage and I looked about frantically for the right type of ingredients. For a moment, Jia and them talked about the different types of Asian markets and how there aren't enough.

Following that, Jia wanted to go to KFC as it had been a while for him. We mused over the different type of "KFC" over in Taiwan and here and how even the items offered varied greatly. They don't offer actual... birds... of chicken? Hmm, better way to say that... They only offered it in nuggets or patty form (not processed), not like in America where you could choose drumsticks or wing, etc.

On our way back, Joyce was asking me if I had to report all this stuff and what I would say on the report. It put a bit of an awkward air as somehow knew that I would log our meetings and such. I could tell she almost didn't appreciate it but she knew it was for class and so she let it go. haha. That was that.
