Allison TP - 8

XinWen and I met up for our typical Tuesday lunch session as usual for our tutoring time. I wanted to take her to Pitaria for her to try Greek food, but it turned out that she had actually been to the restaurant before! This doesn't surprise me too much considering its close proximity to CIES. Thus, we went to Atomic Coffee instead. I was worried about my car being towed because I didn't park behind Atomic Coffee due to there being no spaces. I instead chanced it in the Bulls parking lot, BUT I had my Bulls member card on me so I just put it on the dash. Thankfully, my car was safe there for the 30 minutes it took us to grab some sandwiches.

Due to my uneasiness about the car though, I sort of rushed through lunch. She forgot her book in the car and we only had a limited time before she needed to be back to class. Thus, I took out a Chinese Phrases for Dummies book (ironic, I know) that I had in my purse and had her read that aloud since it's mostly English. I helped her pronounce only one or two words in the text so I think that the level was even a little too easy for her. Thus, we just went back to my car and decided to focus on new vocabulary instead. We discussed mostly parts of the car such as the fuel gauge and the rearview mirror, emergency brake, etc. We also reviewed some of the vocabulary that I taught her during previous sessions to make sure that she remembered some of the words that I taught her in the past.
